HF & World Water Works

When Bangladesh was struck by Cyclone Sidr in late 2007, Humanity First forged a new partnership with World Water Works (www.worldwaterworks.org), a Rotary Club charity based in Bristol, West England and distributed their contents of 210 survival boxes to families that needed the items most. The partnership has grown stronger enabling us to respond faster with them and equip families with the bare necessities of life for the first few days and prolong their survival. Humanity First have mutually agreed with World Water Works the contents of each box and to provide simple instructions translated in the local language of the recepients of this aid.

Since the Bangladesh Cycone, Humanity First have been working with World Water Works to send a number of their water boxes to Africa following the floods there, and are now planning how to get around 250 boxes to Burma and the Irrawaddy delta region following Cyclone Nargis in May 2008.
